Gloria Orticelle of Uniondale - Age 99

Loving wife of the late Frank.  Loving mother to Arthur (Maureen), Nancy McKeon (Tom), the late Frank, Susan Salone (Greg), James, Matthew (Mary Jean) and Laura Hamilton (Scott).  Loving grandmother to Tara Lovallo (Anthony), Erin Tacchi (Matty), Gregory and Nicholas Orticelle, Alexa, Bryce (Kaitlin) and Gabrielle Hamilton, and Eric and Isabel Orticelle.  Loving great-grandmother of Olivia and Mariana Lovallo.

Affectionately nicknamed “Minnow” by her father, Charles Burren and known as Aunt Min and Aunt Gloria to many nieces and nephews.  The pride of Old Bethpage and Farmingdale High class of 1942, multi-sport athlete and once known by a few as the Farmingdale Flash.  Employed by Grumman during her working years before raising her family, along with Frank, full-time in Uniondale.  She cherished her family and especially held fond memories of her nine siblings who all preceded her in death.  With 99 years comes a magnitude of life lessons and memories, too many to list, but remembered[mo1]  by all touched by her, in their own way.  She will be dearly missed but rest assured has left a lasting legacy for all of us to carry on.  Thanks for being our Mom, we love you. Rest in peace until we all meet again under the backyard awning.
