Alehandro Montano was born on February 27, 1925 in Mendez Village of Siparia to Christiana and Vencelao Montano. He was one of seven children who all preceded him in death. Professionally, Alehandro began working at the petroleum company, BP, in Santa Flora, Trinidad at a young age and would go on to retire from at the age of 60 as a gas refinery plant operator. In his personal life, Alejandro would meet and marry Joyce King in the mid 1950’s and conceive 10 children together. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, his sons, Peter, Andy, Wayne his daughter Carol, and his grandson Alexander. Alehandro lived a full life predicated on being a provider for his family. He was a very nurturing dad not just to his children but also those in his neighborhood. His special interests included gardening as he liked to ensure that he had plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables at the home. His love of his family knew no bounds and cherished the time with them on family trips. In 2019, his love of his family led him to move to Palm Bay, Florida where he absolutely enjoyed the outdoors and sunny environment, similar to his hometown. He enjoyed going on car rides for the simple pleasure of taking in the scenery. His final trip took him away from us on January 27, 2021 after being ill for a short period of time. He passed away peacefully surrounded by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren at his home. Those left to mourn his life and celebrate his legacy include his children, Glen, Susan, Neil, Sharon, Charmaine, and Chantal, eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
