Brian Clough Obituary

Brian “Chop aka Bebo” Clough

June 1, 1985 – September 11, 2026

Brian Clough, affectionately known as “Chop” and “Bebo,” passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 41. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Margaret Clough and Roy Morrant, Brian spent his early years in Brooklyn before moving to Jamaica, Queens, at the age of 11 and later to Long Island after graduating high school. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, husband, life partner, loyal friend, and entrepreneur. Above all, Brian was a devoted and loving father to his daughter, Brielle Clough, whom he loved dearly.

Brian’s lifelong passion for cars and racing began during his teenage years in Queens and became a defining part of his life. He was known and loved throughout the racing communities of New York, Jamaica, and across the West Indies. One of his proudest accomplishments was helping to revive the racing community in Jamaica and bring the excitement and fun back to the sport. Brian hosted Battle of the Belts, a hugely successful racing event that brought thousands of people together and reflected his passion for both racing and community. Brian also worked for the NICE bus system, where his love for working on cars and trucks grew, before taking a chance on himself and building his shipping business, Bebo’s Distribution, from the ground up. His business brought him frequently between New York and Jamaica, where he built a second home, countless friendships, and a lasting presence. Brian will be remembered for his big heart, quick wit, determination, love for his people, and undeniable need for speed. He could make you laugh, get on your nerves, and leave you with a story to tell, all in the same day.

Brian leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughter, Brielle; his mother, Margaret; and a host of family and friends throughout New York, Jamaica, and beyond. Though 41 years was far too short, Brian filled those years with family, friendship, hard work, laughter, racing, and a legacy that reached far beyond the track.

Save us a spot at the starting line.

Forever in our hearts, Brian, Chop aka Bebo.
