Dennis George Irons
September 24, 1956 – November 2, 2025
Born in London, England to the late Larkland McClashin Irons and Mavis Hardie Williams Irons, Dennis spent his early years in Jamaica with his grandmother, Ethel “Nennen” Mitchell, before returning to England and later migrating to the United States in 1968.
At 19, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he met and married Debra Maria Jackson. Together they raised three children — Deionne, Chantal, and Jaron — and were blessed with nine grandchildren: Siarra, Laila, Liana, TJ, Christopher, William, Walter, Alexandra, and Julian (coming soon).
A lifelong learner and dedicated serviceman, Dennis earned multiple degrees in Science, Engineering, Physical Therapy, and Business Management. After 20 years of active duty, he retired as a Captain and continued serving as a federal weapons engineer at Eglin Air Force Base, retiring in 2018 after 42 years of combined service.
Dennis will be remembered for his brilliance, work ethic, and unwavering devotion to family. He is deeply loved and missed.
