Donald Best

Donald Best Sr was born March 3rd 1949, to Katherine Best in Goldsboro North Carolina.  Donald had two children, Heather Miller and Donald Best Jr(Donny).  He had two grandchildren, Bruce Miller and Esther Miller.   

   Growing up in the south in the 1960s wasn’t easy.   Moving to New York as a teenager, Donald was highly motivated to succeed.  He earned three Master degrees in mathematics, accounting and education administration. He later earned a fourth degree in Theological studies.

   He worked in the business and finance sector in New York City as an account and Business manager through the 1970s and 80s.

   In 1992 he began his career as an educator in the South Bronx as a teacher of mathematics. He later earned his way, in 2001, to Assistant Principal at a high school in Queens New York.

   As a single parent, Donald was a dedicated father. He provided for all of his children needs. Heather was daddy’s little girl. Though it wasn’t easy for Donald to show his true feelings, he loved his children with all his heart. Donny, having special needs, was cared for by Donald into his adulthood. Making sure Donny had all the latest Nintendo games.

   Donald touched many lives. From his family in North Carolina, to his clients and students in New York. He left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He will not be forgotten.
