Edward John Mandell

On Friday, October 4th, 2019, Edward John Mandell, loving father of two daughters, passed away at the age of 76. 

Eddie was born on May 12, 1943 in Amityville, NY to William and Dorothy (Nalevaiko) Mandell. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus (Bellmore chapter), and a devout member of the Catholic faith. Eddie was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara (Petersen) Mandell, who was the light of his life; and by his siblings Virginia, Bill, and Carol; and his niece Edie. Known for his infectious laugh, Eddie was an avid Elvis fan and a lover of life. He will be missed sorely by his daughters Megan (Mandell) Stowe (husband Michael) and Kirsten (Mandell) Cisneros (husband Ismael); doting sister, Dorothy (Mandell) Howard, and her children and grandchildren who loved their Uncle Eddie dearly. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 10th, 2019 at 10 a.m. at St. Martha’s Catholic Church in Uniondale, NY followed directly by interment at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Edward’s name to the United Cerebral Palsy Center of Nassau County.
