Gessler Anglade, also known as Ti Gess was born on July 8, 1935 in Aux
Anglais, Haiti, son of Raphael Pygeol and Adrienne Anglade. He attended
his primary school studies at Freres du Sacre Coeur and his secondary
school studies at Lycee Philippe Guerrier.
He later became a teacher and principal of a secondary school. He spent a
good part of his life as a math tutor.
Gessler was a very friendly and outgoing person, also a great dancer. He
loved sports, most especially soccer and enjoyed swimming and exercising
with weights to stay in shape.
At the age of 23, he married Marie Suze Jean Charles with whom he had
four children. After his wife moved to the United States in search of
better opportunities, Gessler had the challenging task of raising 4 young
children ranging from 9 to 3 years old. He raised all his children with
much love, patience and diligence.
Gessler moved to the United States in the early 90 's and worked various
jobs to support himself and his family.
He was a very strict father, but also a very loving and protective one. He
always encouraged his children to strive for the best, and to become high
achievers in life. As a father, he taught his children the essence of unity
and pride.
He is a hero in our eyes and a giant. Although we had a modest life, we
were rich in the love and support that he provided. He was a wonderful
loving father, a great human being, and an excellent role model.
We can only thank God for the blessing of having a great father like him.
Gessler is survived by his children and grandchildren.
He will be missed dearly.
