Gramatone, 65, of Uniondale, NY, passed away on February 20, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer.
Gramatone was born on December 24, 1957 to Hermann Etienne, Paulette Voltaire, and Andrea Etienne in Haiti and later migrated to Brooklyn, NY, where he lived with Mommy Andrea and his father. Gramatone graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from City College and Masters degree from Pratt University in Computer Science. He also studied and received his Professional Engineering License.
He started his career in Civil Engineering with the MTA/NYCT in 1981, he retired and went on to work for a private firm S.I. Engineering as a Civil Engineer Consultant and retired in March, 2020.
Gramatone met his wife Carol of 40 years in Brooklyn, NY And went on to have 4 children, Andre, Christian, Bryan, Cecilia, and also Mateo.
He spent his time with his family watching sports such as soccer, baseball, hockey, and tennis. He loved and embraced his HAITIAN CULTURE, he loved listening to Kompa, Zouk, Spanish and American music with a collection of Records and CD’s of all genres. Gramatone loved dancing, cooking, and eating delicious food with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Carol, his children Andre, Christian, Bryan, Cecilia, and Mateo. His siblings Agla, Jendsel, Jocelyne, Margaret, Ernst, Marie Jocelyne, and Jean Claude. His Aunt Venante Codio, nieces, nephews, his many cousins, family, and friends which he LOVED DEARLY.
Services will be held at Hartnett Funeral Home in Uniondale, NY 11553 on March 3, 2023 from 5-9pm. Funeral on March 4th 12Pm at St. Martha’s Roman Cathoic Church in Uniondale,
