Horace Augustus Stanigar born on February 13, 1961, in Kingston Jamaica to Clifton Stanigar and Stephanie Aikman. The oldest of five, he was a born caregiver as he would help his mother care for his younger siblings. As a youngster he enjoyed playing soccer, and according to his teammates he was the most outstanding left back player.
After graduating Calabar High School, Horace attended a vocational school which helped him transition into an Accounting role at the Ministry of Finance.
Shortly after he met Beverly, who became the mother to his only child Tamara.
In 1992, Horace migrated to the states in search of a better life. He held many positions at various companies. Some more challenging than others, he seemed to have a passion for helping others with disabilities.
Horace was a very calm soul, with an infectious smile. A man of very few words, but always with a quick comeback. He was the backbone of our family. Loved by many, and respected by even more, he is leaving behind a testimony of strength and integrity.
He leaves behind his daughter, grandchildren, siblings, and a multitude of family and friends who loves him dearly.
“Though you are gone from our physical presence, the bond of love which unites us can never be severed”
You will forever be in our hearts.
