Ivane departed this life on January 11, 2021 at Mt Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside NY.

Affectionately known as “Tammy”,  Ivane was born in the Bronx New York to the late Ivan and Diane Phillips.

She was raised in Roosevelt NY and was educated in the Roosevelt School District. Shortly after she obtained her B.S. in Accounting and Finance at SUNY Old Westbury, Westbury NY. She was gainfully employed as Managing Director of Finance for the Center of Jewish History NY,NY.

Ivane was a devoted mother; she treasured her daughter Ashley and embraced every moment with her. She was a protective sister, and she especially loved her role as “Auntie Sissy”.  As a loyal friend she would do anything for anyone in need. A consistent example of grace and humility, Ivane was an extraordinary woman who was always intellectually ahead of her time and a forward thinker. Ivane was a lover of the arts, and fashion, A diva with a natural sense of style,  she LOVED shoes and shopping with her “Bestie” niece Nene.  As the middle child, the attention was always centered on her vivacious personality and sparkling smile that would light up a room. Her life had an indelible mark upon everyone she encountered.

She was deeply-rooted in faith, her favorite Bible Scripture was the 23rd Psalm. Until her health condition made it impossible, Ivane regularly attended Convent Avenue Baptist Church in Harlem NY.

We will miss her in every way possible. She will reside in our hearts eternally.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter Ashley Prince; four brothers Jerome”Jerry” Tibbs,

Toyer Beavers(Rose), Ivan Phillips, Darnell Phillips, her sister with whom she was inseparable

Kimberly Phillips(Dion),  and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
