Jeffrey O. Osae

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey “Yaw” Offei Osae of Long Island, NY, age 55, on February 22, 2018 at Mercy Medical Centre, in Rockville Center, New York after a long and courageous battle against cancer.  

Jeffrey was born in Accra, Ghana to the late Lawrence Offei Osae and Esther Adomako.  Following graduation, he immigrated to the US where he met and married Sharonette Johnson in New York.  Supported and cheered on by his devoted wife, Jeffrey later returned to school where he received a BS degree in Radiology.  He went on to a successful career at NYU Langone Medical Center as an MRI Specialist.

New York was the place he called home. Because he remained a New Yorker at heart, it will be his final resting place. He will be eulogized with a special service surrounded by family and friends and laid to rest in Long Island, New York.

Burial, Thanksgiving and a Memorial service will take place on Friday, March 16 at Christian Cultural Center at 11 am in Brooklyn, NY before interment at Greenfield Cemetery, Uniondale, New York.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharonette (Johnson) Osae and his 13 ½ year old son, Joshua Osae.

Mourners are reminded that funeral attire is all black on Friday.
