Louis Lucchi -88 of Uniondale passed away on Nov. 27, 2024. Louis was born on April 29, 1936. He was the son of Louis and Julia Lucchi.
Louis owned his own successful type setting business in New York City. He worked his way up from messenger and eventually owned Commercial Typographers which later became known as CT Graphics. He set "hot metal" on a Linotype machine and CT Graphics was one of the last hot metal shops in NYC when Lou retired in 2006. One of the accomplishments he was most proud of was setting the type for the poet Shel Silverstein's books Falling Up and Where the Sidewalk Ends.
Louis is predeceased by his Wife, Edith. The couple was married on Dec 1, 1956.
Louis is survived by his sister Rosemary, his son Victor, daughter Dawn and his grandchildren, Nicole and Michael.
