Luis Alberto Pastenez

Luis Alberto Pastenez, 72, passed away, on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. 
 
Luis, known to many as “Lucho”, is survived by his wife Mariana of 47 years, daughters: Monica, Christina, and Vanessa; sister: Mercy: grandchildren: Justin, Amanda, Kaylin and Eliana; nieces: Alexandra and Maria; nephew: Javier; and extended family. Lucho was a loving father, husband, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to everyone. 
 
He was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador on August 25, 1946. Despite leaving his loving country, for a better life in the US, he always made it a point to return for a visit. He loved to travel with his family and looked forward to the summers in the Poconos. In addition, Lucho loved sports, especially soccer and his favorite team Barcelona. During soccer season, the soccer games and our father became inseparable. He frequently watched his sport on the living room TV. Every Friday, he read the Ecuadorian newspaper or watched EcuaVisa, while having breakfast.
He lived for his wife and daughters, making sure they had everything they needed. He loved shopping with his girls. He patiently waited for hours, while holding their shopping bags. He also spent his free time fixing and organizing his humble home. He was a neat freak, making sure that everything around the house was in order. He enjoyed family gatherings. Family always came first. Lastly, Lucho enjoyed dancing and looked forward to the family gatherings during the holidays and on special occasions.
 
We will miss you so much! But we understand that you have been called to your new home where you will Rest in Peace eternally, with your wings, while looking down at us.
