It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Maria Virginia Arriaga, who departed this world on February 21, 2024. Maria was born in November 1944 to Manuel de Jesus and Tiburcia Serrano in Montañita, El Salvador. She lived a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Her departure leaves a void that can never be filled, and her memory will forever be etched in our hearts. A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, surrogate mother, surrogate grandmother and dear friend, Maria touched the lives of everyone she encountered. Her passion for cooking and feeding those around her was always a source of joy and inspiration. She was famous for her Pupusas! Music was also one of her passions. She loved to sing and just one of her many favorites was Gema. Maria is pre-deceased by her precious daughter Marina and eight of her nine siblings, Marcelo, Petronila, Antonio, Manuel, Cecilio, Julia, Pablo, and Doroteo, her daughter-in-law Jenny-Cherley and great grandchildren, Christopher and Noah.
