Nadia Jaghab, affectionately known to her sons as “Mama” and to her grandchildren as “Teta Nadia” residing with her son and family in Lynbrook, New York, where she enjoyed being a central part of their daily lives, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the age of 92. She is survived by her sons Kamil and George Jaghab, and her grandchildren Annmarie, Isa, Chris and Gabrielle Jaghab and was preceded in passing by her husband Isa Rizek Jaghab.
At age 36, with the passing of her beloved husband, she dedicated her life to raising their two sons. Her focus remained entirely on the two sons they built their world around: [17-year-old’s Kamil] and [4-year-old’s George]. While she faced the road ahead as a single mother, she was grounded by the enduring love her husband had for his boys. Her husband’s spirit lived on through his sons, guided by the fierce love, strength, and devotion of their mother “Mama”.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy as a deeply devoted mother and grandmother, whose greatest joy and proudest achievement was her family. She dedicated her entire life and poured her whole heart to raising her sons and being an instrumental part in raising her grandchildren, sacrificing selflessly to give them every opportunity in life, ensuring they grew up surrounded by love, strong values, and a profound commitment to education. The successful, educated men they are today (Doctor + Engineer) is a direct testament to her endless sacrifices and unwavering guidance to her sons and to her grandchildren (Doctor + Engineer+ Financier+ Future Engineer).
To Know her was to love her. She truly loved and enjoyed life to the fullest, living a remarkably great life surrounded by the family and friends she cherished so deeply. She lived her life as a masterclass in love and selflessness. She was remarkably generous, loving and funny grandmother who filled her family’s lives with joy, laughter, and endless support. Her selfless devotion and generous spirit made her a safe harbor for everyone who knew her, and her helpful hand was never far when someone was in need. Her love remains a guiding presence for all who knew her. Her vibrant spirit and devoted heart will be forever remembered.
