Nancy (née Martinez) Mickulas, age 78, died peacefully at home on November 11th surrounded by loved ones. Pre-deceased by her parents Vincent and Felicia and sister Norma. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Philip; son, Peter (Mary); daughter, Jeannine (CC); and son, David; grandchildren: Aaron, Benjamin, Liam, Will & Charlotte; and sister-in-law, Janet Acerra.
Nancy worked many years utilizing her bilingual skills at Lenox Hill Hospital,  Hofstra University, Abbot House and AHRC. Most recently she enjoyed volunteering her time with students at California Avenue School. Her love for children will also be missed at Christmas time when she could always be counted on to start a fundraising/toy drive for underserved families in her hometown of Hempstead where she resided for the last 52 years.
Her kind and generous spirit was recognized by all who lived, worked or played with her. She will be missed immensely.
