Neville Gladstone Georges was born on May 24, 1939, in Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, to the late Claudius Georges and Cynthia Theresita Francis. After graduating from Christiansted High School in 1957, he came to the continental United States to continue his education. Neville subsequently obtained an Associate in Arts Degree from Borough of Manhattan Community College in 1972, a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the City College of New York in 1974, and took graduate courses in public administration at the graduate division of Baruch College of the City of New York.
Neville culminated a 34-year career with the Social Security Administration (SSA) at the end of 1994. While at SSA, he received numerous awards and citations for his meritorious service as well as being a very skillful and successful technical leader and administrator.
Neville lived in various locations throughout New York City from 1957 to 1979. Neville moved to Baldwin Oaks, a small segment of the Uniondale School District, in 1979. He later immersed himself as an education advocate for children by his active engagement in PTA leadership at the elementary and secondary levels. Neville is predeceased by his wife, Georgia Georges, of over 44 years.
Neville is survived by his children, Gregory, Renee, Allison, Timothy, Wayne, Katrice, and Nicole, his grand-children, Ashley, Janelle, Brittany, Brandon, Kalea, Imanie, Niarah, Nailah, Nivell, and Nyame, his sisters, Eleanor and Lorraine, and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins.
