Nichole Renee Jenkins, affectionately known as “Nicki”, passed away on November 25, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Born on March 5, 1970 to Douglas Jenkins and Deborah Woolwine Jenkins, at Mercy Hospital in Rockville Centre, New York. A real daddy’s girl, she spent her early years in Roosevelt NY, where she attended elementary school, before moving to Hempstead, where she attended Hempstead High School.

Nicki was a vibrant soul known for her immense heart and selfless nature. She had a deep compassion for those less fortunate. Often cooking, shopping, and sharing her own meals with those in need, whether she met them on the street or knew they were struggling to put food on the table in private. She had no respect of person, she’d talk to homeless people as if they were her friends and make them feel seen and cared for. Her generosity knew no bounds, as she would share her last with those in need.

Passionate about hair and fashion, Nicki was known for her diverse hairstyles, ultimately settling on a short cut that showcased her unique personality. She was a true original, never one to follow fashion trends but instead creating her own lane in style. Her love for music spanned many genres, and she enjoyed “GOING CONCERT”, often singing and dancing in front of the mirror, pretending to be the artist while her sister, Courtney, played the audience.

Nicki's unique sense of humor and her one-of-a-kind personality was a joy to be around, and she had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She was the life of: the party, the luncheon, the classroom, the barbecue and the list goes on. When Nicki was around laughter was inevitable. Oh how she lived and loved life.

Nicki is survived by her father, Douglas Jenkins; mother, Deborah Woolwine Jenkins; beloved sister Courtney Simone Jones; Aunt Terri Martin; Uncles Daryl Martin, James Jenkins, Barry Jenkins and Philip Woolwine; cousins Darrell Potter, Jeffery Green, Brittany Brookins, Deonna Martin, Sheena McFarquer, Philip Woolwine Jr.; a loving companion Linzy Moore and many other family members and friends.

Our family loved Nicki but God loved her best.
