Patricia Ward Obituary

In Loving Memory of Patricia Jean Coral Ward,

                                                            December 16, 1949 – September 22, 2023.

Patricia Jean Coral Ward, nee Patricia Campbell

a devoted wife to Caryl Ward, a beloved mother to Kevin, Gregg, Keisha, and Kurt, stepmother to Nyala, Nyasha and Tarik, a cherished grandmother to Jada, Sage, Jared, Kayla, Caden, and Nile, and a proud great-grandmother to Jasmine, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2023.

Patricia was not only a devoted wife and mother but also a trusted friend, a caring sister, and a beloved aunt. She had a unique way of making everyone around her feel special and cherished. Her boundless love and kindness touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.  She made so many lifelong friends on her life’s journey.

Patricia was known for her timeless elegance and style. She carried herself with grace, and an impeccable fashion sense. She loved her plants, had a love for music and dancing, and her energy was contagious.

One of Patricia's greatest talents was her culinary prowess. Her cooking was nothing short of delicious, and her stew peas dish was a family favorite that will be remembered forever. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and love, where she shared her delicious creations and created lasting memories.

Throughout her life, Patricia made significant contributions to various workplaces, leaving a positive impact wherever she went. She began her journey in Pedro Cross, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, born to Clarence and Hessie Campbell. She attended Pedro Plains Primary, where her dedication to education shone bright. Patricia later brought her talents to Life of Jamaica (LOJ), where her commitment to service was unwavering. Some of us might remember her as Patricia Fennell. She moved on to Kingston Wharves, where her professionalism and dedication continued to shine right up to retirement.

Here in New York, Patricia was a constant fixture and support with Caryl’s musical endeavors. Patricia affectionately called Rebeldeen, showed her passion for music by being an ardent supporter, administrator and presenter along with Caryl on The Collectors Korner Now Internet radio station.

She was a wonderful care taker and enjoyed caring for children. Her warm and naturally maternal nature was well known as she not only cared for her grandson, Caden, but also Andrew, the son of her stepdaughters’ childhood friend. We playfully referred to Caden and Andrew as her purses as they were constantly glued to her hip and rarely left her sight. Oh, how grammy doted over her first great grand Jassie!

In addition to her unwavering love and kindness, Patricia's enduring spirit and resilience in the face of life's challenges were a testament to her strength.

As we say our goodbyes, we remember Patricia for the love she gave, the joy she brought, and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her kindness, elegance, and the beautiful life she shared with us all.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
