Robin Alexander “Alex” Browne was born on July 31, 1983, in Queens, New York, to Robin Earle and Annette Browne. At 9 months old, on April 29, 1984, he was baptized at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Jamaica, Queens, New York, with his Uncle Francisco “Frankie” Bosa serving as his Godfather. He spent his early school years at Public School 95 in Jamaica, Queens. After the family moved to Long Island, Alex continued his education at Northern Parkway Elementary and Lawrence Road Middle School, eventually graduating from Uniondale High School in 2001. Alex had a deep love for music, especially old-school favorites like Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra, Prince, and Rick James. Whether at home, at a fair, or at family events, if the music was classic, you could bet Alex would be dancing and singing to his heart’s content. He had a real passion for collectibles, especially the ones that meant something to him. From action figures and wrestling memorabilia to POP! figurines of icons like Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, and Lionel Richie, his hobbies reflected his love of music, pop culture, and sports. One of his favorite pastimes was watching baseball with his beloved grandpa Julio, his go-to baseball buddy. Alex was always ready for a road trip. He shared a close bond with his grandparents and often surprised them with visits to Florida. His travels also took him to Virginia, Puerto Rico, and on a cruise to the Bahamas. But for Alex, it was never just about the destinations, it was the people that made each trip special. Always with a smile on his face, Alex was happiest, bringing laughter to those around him. His warmth and quick wit made him unforgettable to family, friends, and coworkers alike. Before finding his path in pharmacy, Alex explored a few different directions. In 2006, he earned a Computer Technology Certificate, and in 2009, he completed a 60-hour Personal Trainer program, both through Nassau BOCES' (Bureau of Cooperative Educational Services) Adult Career and Technical Education program. He was always learning, always exploring what might be next. He began working at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park as a temporary unit service assistant. While working there, he completed his online education at Penn Foster College and became a certified pharmacy technician. In 2011, he officially joined the pharmacy team and spent over 14 years there—respected for his knowledge, known for his helpful spirit, and loved for his warmth and kindness. It’s no wonder he was named Employee of the Month in July 2022, recognized for his outstanding service and commitment. Alex passed away at home on July 12, 2025.
