Salvatore D’Agata, 89, of East Meadow, formerly of Queens, NY passed away peacefully on September 17th, 2020.
After high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and served honorably during the Korean War.
Salvatore was a machinist with Kramer and Kramer for 35 years before retiring and an active and faithful parishioner of St. Raphael’s R.C. Church in East Meadow.
Salvatore met Norma (née) Delli Paoli, the love of his life at a church dance. Married in 1959 they would build a wonderful life together filled with laughter, love and faith.
He was predeceased by his parents Gaetano and Matilda; sisters Angie Grasso, Ida San Giorgio, Jean Morgan and Katherine.
Salvatore is survived by his beloved wife, Norma; his devoted sons, Bruce and his wife Alice,
Scott and his wife Toni and his cherished grandchildren Jessica and her husband Anthony, Samantha and her husband Bobby.
He will always be remembered for his generosity and kindness, his love for his family, spending numerous years coaching his sons baseball teams, his handyman skills, his humor and the ability to deliver a joke that would have you “in stitches” and his love for singing a Sinatra classic.
