Sonia Hazle

With intense grief and sad hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Sonia Hazle on Wednesday, September 4th, 2025

Sonia was a devoted Christian who dedicated her life to the nursing profession, one that perfectly reflected her compassionate spirit and unwavering dedication to helping others. Beyond her career, she carried the same kindness and generosity into her community, always ready with a warm smile, a listening ear, and a helping hand. She lived a life filled with joy, kindness, dedication and love for family and friends; and in return, we loved her dearly.   

Sonia was the loving wife of Horace Hazle, caring mother of Peter-Sam Hazle (Tiffany Hazle), and adoring grandmother to Maxine, Melissa and Marilyn Hazle, who affectionately called her SoSo. She is also survived by parents George and Lucille Manning, sisters: Joycelin Brown (Trevor Brown), Sheila Nichols and Heather Manning, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, aunties, uncles, cousins and friends.

As we experience these difficult days, we feel truly blessed by the tremendous outpour of love, kind words, condolences, and prayers. We are sincerely grateful. We are comforted by the fact that Sonia accepted and served Christ as her personal saviour, and are assured that her soul is resting peacefully with our Lord. 

Although Sonia is no longer with us, her love and kindness will live-on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. We will certainly miss our dearly beloved Son, but we will cherish the many happy memories we shared. We know she is in a better place and we celebrate the amazing life she lived.
