Teddy Jean Baptiste Content

Teddy Jean-Baptiste Content was born on August 2, 1988, in Long Island, NY, to Marie and Jean Content. Teddy’s siblings include Arrielle, Gaelle, Kathy, and Stevie Content. Teddy was a caring and loving person with the biggest heart. He was born into a large family, which he made even larger, because he treated every single friend as if they were family. We have so many brothers and sisters now because of Teddy and the compassionate soul he had.

Teddy started primary/elementary school at St. Martin De Porres in Uniondale, NY, until he transferred to schools in Hempstead, NY; Franklin Elementary, ABGS Middle School, and graduated from Hempstead High School. These are the locations where Teddy forged most of his lifelong friendships and extended family.

Teddy had such a loving soul. He was the kind of person who would provide his last just to see you laugh or smile. He loved telling jokes and making people laugh, and he had the most distinct and infectious laugh. Teddy enjoyed anything related to the culinary arts, watched every cooking show, and bought kitchen tools to better his skills. He loved cooking, and that love started at an early age (almost burned down the kitchen on a few occasions). What Teddy loved more than cooking was watching you enjoy his food. He had so much pride in it, he named it appropriately “TedSpot.” It’s well known that if you’re having a party, BBQ, or any occasion, you could count on Teddy to be on the grill or cater the food.

Teddy loved all kinds of music. If he liked a song, you were sure to hear it on repeat for at least a week. He wasn’t the greatest dancer, but that never stopped him from enjoying it. Let him tell it, he was the best.

Teddy’s loving spirit is the reason why we have this community of people. He was a protector/counselor, the one who would consistently call to check on you, come by and be a shoulder to cry on, and someone you could count on for advice (good or bad). His memory will live on through the countless lives he has touched. He loved everyone immensely, and because of that, he will forever be in our hearts.

Teddy leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, father, grandmother, brother, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, goddaughters and sons, and countless friends and extended family.
