Thomas Nathaniel Kennedy was born, March 20, 1927 to the late Joseph A. Kennedy and Doris Fegenia Robinson. He was born in Manchester; Jamaica where he also completed his Primary and Secondary education.
At a young age, Thomas discovered he was very good with tools, carpentry, and plants. During his life he used his skills to work various jobs in Jamaica and Canada. He was most proud of his employment at the United Nations Building in NY, where he was the Lead Custodial Engineer. Thomas also co-owned a family restaurant; Caribbean Kettle and in his retirement years he fostered children. He was also a “Plant Doctor”. He nursed and revived many plants that were previously not flourishing.
Thomas was preceded in death by his father, Joseph A. Kennedy, his mother, Doris F. Robinson, his sisters, Edith Kennedy, Ivy May Kennedy (Bunty), and Ermie Kennedy, his wife of 35 years; Mary Kennedy, and sons, Willie Williams (Wife-Wanda), and Thomas Kennedy Jr. Thomas leaves behind his children, Errol Kennedy, Denroy (Dennis) Kennedy, Calvin Kennedy, Lenworth Kennedy, Kenneth Kennedy, Joan Kennedy, Carol Kennedy, Donna Kennedy, and Bridget Watson (Husband-David). He also leaves behind to cherish his memory one sister, Velma Kennedy, two brothers, Basil Kennedy and Thomas Porter Kennedy, 10 grandchildren, his bird (Tony), and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
On Saturday, October 15th, 2022, Thomas was called to be with the Lord.
Thomas will forever be remembered for his laughter, his love for wrestling, and his love for his garden.
